Corona treatment is essential in extrusion coating and lamination processes to achieve superior adhesion of thin layers on substrates such as paper, textiles, plain-woven materials, BOPP film, and polyester film. Substrates like these must undergo corona treatment before coating to significantly enhance bonding strength.
By increasing the surface energy of films, foils, and paper, corona treatment improves wettability and adhesion of inks, coatings, and adhesives.
